Rescuers search for 91 missing people in rubble of collapsed building

Sidoarjo, Indonesia: While the parents were praying inside, after an Islamic boarding school collapsed in Indonesia, they were looking for the scores of missing young men stuck under large piles of concrete on Tuesday.

The boarding school is in Sidoarjo, the town of East Java, about 780 kilometers east of Jakarta.

Tuesday evening, three bodies were rescued, the majority of the default victims were still stuck under large concrete plates. Ninety -nine children and workers in the school survived.

Families clustered around a white board with a list of known survivors and called the names of their children.

The savior managed to run food, oxygen and water resources through narrow gaps to those who were fixed in place and still stuck under the debris to keep them alive.

A excavator and a crane were deployed to help the rescuers change rubble, but Nanang Sigit, a local search and rescue authority, said the authorities would not use heavy equipment for the fear of causing the remaining structure to collapse.
