Revanth gets pat from Rahul Gandhi and Kharge for victory in Jubilee Hills

Prime Minister A. Revanth Reddy with Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Saturday. AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Khairatabad DCC president Rohin Reddy and Jubilee Hills MLA Naveen Yadav were also present on the occasion.

In the backdrop of the Congress party’s decisive victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid a courtesy call on senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi on Saturday.

During his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, the Prime Minister introduced Mr. Naveen Yadav, the newly elected MLA from Jubilee Hills, who gave the party a significant victory. Mr. Gandhi congratulated the new MLA and appreciated the Telangana Congress leadership for the successful campaign.

Sources said Mr. Gandhi appreciated Mr. Revanth Reddy and senior leaders, including Mr. Bhatti and Mr. Mahesh Goud, for performing so well under the prevailing circumstances. He also asked them to further strengthen the party and there is a huge responsibility on the shoulders of the Congress to take all sections on its side.

AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Khairatabad DCC president Rohin Reddy were present in the meeting.

Later in the day, Mr. Revanth Reddy along with his colleagues also met AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. The leaders briefed Mr. Kharge about the by-poll results and the strengthening political situation for the Congress in Telangana. The Prime Minister and his colleagues will return to Hyderabad on Sunday after attending a special event in the national capital.
