Revanth Reddy inaugurates renovated Sammakka–Saralamma shrine ahead of Medaram Jatara

Officials said that the work was carried out without cutting trees and that the existing forest cover, which includes 12 types of sacred trees such as banyan, bamboo, neem and mahua (ippa), was preserved. The government also planned to plant 140 types of medicinal plants in the region.
Learning from the management of major religious congregations like the Kumbh Mela, a team of experts studied crowd movements, access routes and pressure points at Medaram and made recommendations. A drone show, cultural programs and a documentary about jatara are planned for the four-day event.
The government has sanctioned ₹251 crore for comprehensive development of Medaram; this includes ₹101 crore for expansion of Medaram. Gaddelu.
