Revanth’s Irrigation Project Claims False: Harish

Hyderabad: Former minister T. Harish Rao demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy apologize to the people of the state for the ‘blatant lies’ he told in the Assembly on irrigation projects.

After BRS “exposed lies” about the first Apex Council meeting held in 2016, Revanth encouraged Reddy to resign to Lok Bhavan if he had any “self-respect” left.

Making a powerpoint presentation at Telangana Bhavan in the presence of BRS working president KT Rama Rao and party leaders, the BRS leader strongly denied the allegations of the ruling Congress.

He said it was high time Revanth Reddy ‘slapped himself’ (as a sign of remorse) and apologized to people for ‘lies’. While placing the copy of the document pertaining to the first Apex Council meeting next to the video clip of Revanth Reddy reading parts of the document in the Legislative Council on January 3, Harish Rao noted that the Prime Minister had ‘deliberately omitted’ parts of the letter to mislead people.

“A total of 18 letters have been sent to the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project Centre. KCR has also written to stop Pothireddypadu. Not only is Revanth distorting facts by reading missing documents in the Assembly, but even Uttam Kumar Reddy’s telemetry claims are false as KCR insists on installation of devices for all major projects,” Harish Rao said.

Responding to the AP government’s statement refuting Revanth Reddy’s allegations about the Rayalaseema Ropeway Irrigation Project, the BRS senior leader said that the BRS’s allegations have been substantiated.
