This announcement comes with the preparation of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the President of the Philippines, for his first state visit to India. It will be in the new Delhi between 4-8 August.
Diplomats on both sides are preparing for important meetings. The timing is also overlapping with the 75th anniversary of India-Philippines diplomatic relations.
Indian officials see the visit as milestone. The Philippine navy also welcomed Indian ships as a deeper sign of cooperation. Speeches are expected to focus on sea strategy, technology transfer and defense training.
