Primark has made a big change for its UK customers. The fashion retailer, which has nearly 200 stores across the UK, has strengthened its digital presence in the market by launching its first customer-facing mobile app.
Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the application brings together features designed to make customers’ shopping experience even easier. The app improves the customer experience for UK shoppers by combining click-and-collect access, real-time stock checks, store information and personalized notifications.
Thanks to the app, customers can now browse products, save products before visiting a store, and stay informed about new arrivals and collections.

Primark said the app was designed to deliver a more connected and convenient shopping experience, while still maintaining the same discovery that comes with visiting stores in person.
The retailer had already launched the app in Ireland and Italy last summer.
Primark UK retail manager Kari Rodgers said: “We know our customers expect great value and a hassle-free shopping experience wherever they are.
“Our new app puts exactly that in the palm of their hand, from personalized updates on the latest trends to faster, more convenient ways to browse and shop via click and collect. It’s the next step in delivering everyday value to more UK shoppers in a way that’s simple, seamless and built around their needs.”
The app also works with Primark’s click and collect service, which is now available in all 189 stores in England, Scotland and Wales. Customers can browse, order and pay for their purchases online before picking them up in store.
Matt Houston, chief customer and digital officer at Primark, said: “Following the successful launch of our app in Ireland and Italy, we are excited to bring a smarter, more connected shopping experience to the UK.
“Customers are increasingly turning to digital tools that make shopping easier and more rewarding, and we are confident that our app will deliver a carefully designed, intuitive, personalized experience to help them get the most out of every Primark visit.”
The new launch is part of Primark’s wider investment in digital channels, building on the growth of its website and social media presence.
The retailer said it has more than 25 million followers worldwide and 25% of visitors to its UK website use the stock check feature.
