Robert Irwin sparks dating rumours with Brendan Fevola’s daughter after filming for iconic reality show
Brendan Fevola questioned his daughter Mia Fevola this week about rumors linking her to Robert Irwin following her appearance on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Mia, 26, appeared on Fevola’s Fifi, Fev & Nick radio show to discuss her time filming the series in South Africa when the topic came up.
“What’s going on with Bob Irwin?” Fevola asked during the interview.
Mia said there was nothing going on between them before stating that she felt “trapped” by the question.
Co-host Nick Coady compared the exchange to a parent asking their child about a possible romantic interest, while Fifi Box revealed Fevola had seen online speculation linking the pair.
During the episode, Fevola joked that a relationship would have financial benefits, referencing Irwin’s family history.
“Man, I could co-own a zoo,” he joked.
The questioning comes a week after Robert Irwin spoke about the upcoming season of ‘I’m A Celeb’ on the popular radio station.
The comments follow a report from Women’s Day which claimed the pair developed a close relationship during filming.
An unnamed source told the publication that Irwin was attracted to Mia and was said to be nervous around her.
The source also noted that Mia had been watching Irwin’s recent appearance on Dancing With The Stars USA and the Bonds ad campaign, which caused a lot of controversy online.
It was also claimed that the interest was mutual.
Mia previously confirmed she was single following her split from long-term Melbourne partner Bass Miller in July.
Earlier reports also suggested that producers tried to create a storyline involving Mia and Tammy Hembrow’s ex-husband Matt Zukowski, but no relationship materialized.
An anonymous source told Daily Mail Australia that Mia was not interested in a romance with Zukowski and was cautious about past relationships.
This comes after Robert Irwin was reported to have become close to American actress Xochitl Gomez on the couple’s set of Dancing With The Stars late last year.
The two allegedly became close on set, and Irwin even invited the 19-year-old Marvel Star to the premiere of Zootopia 2 in November, a source claimed.
But on January 12, the rumors ended when Robert confirmed on The Today Show that he was single.
It is believed that Robert’s return to his home at the Australia Zoo may be why his sparks with Gomez have cooled due to the actress being in her native US.
But with Mia headquartered in Melbourne, new hope is on the horizon for Irwin and Fevola; this is a much closer distance from Irwin’s Australia Zoo.
