Romania reports Russian drone in its airspace as Poland scrambles jets again | Romania

Romania was the latest NATO member state to report a drone attack to the airspace by mixing Poland in response to fresh Russian drone strikes just above the Ukrainian border.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense said on Saturday that the airspace was violated by a drone during a Russian attack on the infrastructure in the neighboring Ukraine. The Ministry said that Romania had mixed two F-16 warrior jets late on Saturday to watch the situation after strikes.

The jets “identified a drone in the national airspace” and watched the Romanian village near Chilia Veche until it was lost from the radar ”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Russia intentionally expanding drone operations and the West should respond with harsh sanctions and closer defense cooperation. He said that the latest drone attacks were “an obvious expansion of war by Russia”. “The Russian army knows exactly where the drones are going and how much they can work in the air.”

Zelenskyy argued that what is necessary in response was new sanctions against Russia and a collective defense system.

Referring to the Shahed drones designed by Iranian, he warned, “Do not expect dozens of ‘HAHED’ and ballistic missiles before deciding,” he warned.

In Washington, US President Donald Trump said he was ready to impose major sanctions on Russia – all NATO countries did the same thing and stopped buying Russian oil.

Again on Saturday, Poland said that this and NATO allies used helicopters and planes when they hit Ukraine, which was not far from the Russian drones border.

Due to the threat of drone, “Polish and allied planes operate in our airspace and ground -based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest alarm levels.

On Saturday, the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, “We are awake,” he warned that the high alarm was removed.

Since he said that Warsaw has entered the airspace of about 20 Russian people until Tuesday and Çarşamba, Poland and NATO countries are on duty on duty.

While Russia refused to target Poland, many European countries, including France, Germany and Sweden, increased the defense support of the Polish airspace in response.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio tried to question whether the Russian drone was concerned about going into the Poland airspace last week on Saturday, but whether Poland was targeted intentionally. “Certainly: Drones were deliberately released. The question said that drones aim to go especially to Poland.” “Obviously … It will be extremely climbing,” he said to the journalists in Washington.

On Friday, Poland rejected Donald Trump’s suggestion that attacks could be a mistake, a rare contradiction of the US president of one of Washington’s closest European allies.

On Saturday, Trump returned to sanctions against Russia and put the ball back to the Court of NATO allies.

“I am ready to make great sanctions on Russia when all NATO countries accept the same thing and all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia,” he said in a mission on social media.

Trump has repeatedly threatened sanctions against Russia without following.

An official in Russia reported that a Ukrainian drone hit one of the largest oil refining complexes of 1,400km (870 miles) from the front of Ukraine.

The drone has led to a fire and has caused minor damage to the complex of the Russian oil company Bashneft and lies at the foot of the central Russian city Ufa.

He took responsibility for a resource attack at Ukraine’s Gur Military Intelligence Agency.

Since Moscow launched a full -scale military attack in Ukraine in February 2022, Kyiv responded with attacks on Russian refineries to prevent the Kremlin’s ability to finance conflict through the fossil fuel industry.
