Row over Appointment of Bhadrakali Temple Chairman

Warangal: Devalaya Parirakshana Samithi (DPS) members offered a representation to the regional collector Sneha Shabarish and called for an investigation into the Templar Rules of the Templene Administration for the Historic Sri Bhadrakali Temple of Dr Siva Subramaniam.

Speaking on this occasion, DPS Province President Chikati Raju stated that the temple of Sri Bhadrakali, which was built by the kings of Kakatiya, was recorded within the scope of the Foundation Law and that his daily work was supervised by the donation department. Dr Subramaniam’s father, who served as Archaka, claimed that the late BS Ganesh Rao wrongly demanded a house built as a personal property on the temple land. A complaint in April 2024 and the subsequent commissioner could not find an official record as Ganesh Rao’s founding board of trustees, and the 1981 court decision recognized him as a hereditary Archaka, not only trustees.

In 1991, Raju stated that the appointment of Dr Subramaniam’s brother B. Sheshagiri Rao because he was illegal because he forbade an individual from serving as a committee of Archaka and trustees. He argued that the same irregularity has revealed Dr. Subramaniam’s current appointment.

DPS members asked the donation department and the regional collector to correct these long -standing problems and to ensure that the management of the temple is transparent and legal.
