Royal Family are days away from ‘making bold Princess Beatrice and Eugenie decision’ | Royal | News

The Royal Family is just days away from attending a major event in the royal calendar, as speculation mounts as to whether Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will join their relatives in Windsor. The King and Queen will lead the family in the annual Easter Sunday service on April 5.

Last year’s meeting was a smaller affair, with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children skipping the event to spend quality time together in Norfolk. The family of five also did not attend the 2024 ceremony as it took place just weeks after Princess Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.

Royal expert Jennie Bond said of this year’s pending service: “We have yet to see any evidence that William, Kate and other royals have actually moved on from Beatrice and Eugenie; Easter will show that.”

“But I have no doubt that William is extremely sensitive to public opinion and will do what is necessary to listen and protect the reputation of the monarchy.”

William and Catherine are reportedly keen to move on from Beatrice and Eugenie, who are currently dealing with the fallout from their parents’ connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Following the news that Eugenie and Beatrice were banned from this year’s Royal Ascot, William also asked the family to be careful when posing for photos with their cousins.

Speaking earlier this month, one of William and Catherine’s friends said: Daily Mail In fact, if Eugenie and Beatrice had been there, the couple would have gone so far as not to go to Royal Ascot this year.

They said: “I can tell you that William and Catherine will not go if any of the Yorks are there.”

mail on sunday reported that the ban came as part of a plan to exclude the sisters from public events amid the scandal surrounding their ties to the House of York and Epstein.

A source said they spoke to a friend who works at Ascot and were told the princesses would not be able to attend this year. They told the publication: “Beatrice was the one who found this the hardest. She was completely blindsided by it all.”
