Royal Family LIVE: ‘Cold and pathetic’ Meghan told to ‘get a grip’ | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is in trouble after appearing on a cooking show in Australia that featured a FaceTime call with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, took part in the popular Down Under version of the cooking series, which sees aspiring chefs compete to be crowned the best in the kitchen in front of a panel of judges and a celebrity guest.
Meghan, whose Ace brand always offers a variety of cooking ideas and products, surprised her rivals with her appearance on Sunday’s episode, which included an impromptu FaceTime call with her husband Prince Harry, 41. But some viewers were unconvinced by the video call, which began with a crew member handing Meghan a phone and telling her “we had a phone call to the studio.” The mother-of-two was initially unsure of the interruption before recognizing Harry on screen, then smiling and telling him: “Hello love!” and he replied, “Good day.” The two then engaged in a lighthearted conversation, much to the delight of the studio audience. Some viewers also liked the skit; “Wow these two are so in love,” one person wrote to X.
But speaking to The News International, celebrity chef Jameson Stocks slammed the call for “no originality”, adding: “It’s just cold, calculating and pathetic.” Mr Stocks, who is clearly not a fan of the routine and has been named one of the world’s best chefs by GQ magazine, said the royal appearance was at odds with Meghan’s calls for privacy. She noted: “One day he might want privacy, but the next day he might show up to take a photo with his kids. He needs to get his act together.”
