A bombshell new book about the couple is set to hit shelves as a leading royal expert claims the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “not making it in the US” and are “walking disasters”.

Richard Fitzwilliams gave a shocking assessment to the Daily Express ahead of the publication of Betrayal: Power, Deception and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, royal writer Tom Bower’s latest examination of the Sussexes, due out on March 26.

“Whether his quotes are precise and his statements accurate is debatable, but it’s pretty clear he was targeting a couple who appeared to be walking disasters,” Fitzwilliams said.

“They didn’t make it in the US, they lost Spotify, Netflix no longer supports it as usual. It lost Sentebale, their Charity looks small and is losing money in 2024.”

Fitzwilliams suggested the couple were fighting a losing battle to improve their image and business position on both sides of the Atlantic.

Bower’s book describes a couple “struggling to retain their royal titles and privileges” whose attempts to create a Sussex brand “stirred bitter hostility”.
