Kerala Cabinet nod for availing ₹1,500 crore loan from HUDCO for Life Mission scheme

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Kerala cabinet gave an in principle to benefit from 1,500 CRORE from Housing and Urban Development Company Limited (HUDCO) loan, as the life mission provides financial assistance to the housing program.
1,100 Crore is to provide credit assistance for 1,27,601 home under construction. The government said that 400 crore will be used to provide financial assistance to the planned castes and planned tribes in the life list.
Credit Kerala Urban Development Finance Corporation (KUDFC) will be used. Half of the amount will be presented in the current financial and the remaining half in 2026-27.
Refund will be made for a period of 15 years through interruptions from the development funds of local self -government institutions. Interest will be covered by the state government through the budget.
According to a decision taken by the cabinet, more than 50,000 elderly citizens (ST) between the planned tribes (ST) will be suitable for 1000 ₹ consent gift ‘. In total, 52,864 members of the ST communities over 60 years of age shall be appropriate except for their retirees from the unity and state government services and semi -government organizations. La 5.28 Crore will be approved by the Prime Minister’s Boredom Assistance Fund for this purpose.
The cabinet also decided to publish instructions to give bonuses to the employees of public sector institutions.
