Royal fans all say the same thing about Meghan Markle’s return to acting | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has decided to return to acting and royal fans have only one thing to say. The Duchess of Sussex made headlines on Wednesday evening after it was revealed she was seen playing herself on the set at Amazon MGM Studios while filming Close Personal Friends in Pasadena, Los Angeles.

Meghan is said to be filming alongside Hollywood stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid’s son Jack Quaid and Brit Henry Golding. Sources say the duchess was “inundated with offers” to quit acting and join the Royal Family eight years ago, but now felt the time was right to return to one of the things she loves most.

Many royal fans were delighted to hear the news and expressed their joy on social media.

One user wrote on Instagram: “This is great news!”

Another agreed: “I actually love this for him.”

A third said: “This makes me so happy!!”

A fourth commented: “Yes You Go Girl!! You know we will all support this movie.”

A fifth chimed in: “Good for him, he’s living his own life!”

Another commented on X: “Love her or hate her, Meghan Markle is a great marketer. The whole world is talking about Close Personal Friends.”

But others weren’t as excited about the Duchess’ new project.

One user told X: “The vaults must have been emptied. It’s back to where it started.”

Another said: “I’m sure it’s a small role he’ll be proud of for the rest of his life.”

A third commented: “’I’m inundated with offers.’ [laughing face emojis] Give me a break!!! There is desperation in the air!!”

The Duchess of Sussex played the role of Rachel Zane in seven seasons of the hugely successful Netflix show, which ran from 2011 to 2019.

However, they split in 2018 after marrying Prince Harry and moving to the United Kingdom.

Meghan’s latest film in Hollywood centers around two couples, one famous, the other not, who meet in Santa Barbara and become fast friends.

The film is directed by Jason Orley, who also wrote the screenplay with Isaac Aptaker.

The Duchess of Sussex has been contacted for comment.
