Catherine looked gorgeous in a burgundy suit consisting of a midi skirt, blouse, Alexander McQueen jacket and matching leather boots. Her hair was styled in her signature loose waves and her makeup featured a smoky eye. Royal fans fell in love with Catherine’s monochrome look and took to social media to praise her.

One user wrote about X: “Using different shades of any color is so bold, especially burgundy, which is a hard color to balance. I love the look.”

During their visit, the future King and Queen made an unscheduled stop to meet well-wishers standing in heavy rain.

They had traveled to the Hanging Gardens, a community center focused on resilience and creativity in the town of Llanidloes in mid-Wales.

Despite the rain, they arrived at the venue to the cheers of the crowd gathered outside; many were waving Welsh flags and holding bouquets of daffodils, Wales’ national flower.

The couple ordered hot drinks in the cafe, with Catherine having a cappuccino and William a cup of tea, before sitting down to chat to people making festive signs in Welsh.

William and Catherine, both wearing daffodil flowers on their lapels, then walked towards the forge and encountered three- and four-year-old kindergarten children waiting with signs they had drawn.

They also met producers from the adjacent market, while William sampled a pint of cider before heading to the kitchen where traditional Welsh stews and Welsh cakes are being made ahead of St David’s Day on Sunday.

This would be the end of their visit, but after getting into their vehicle and being driven for a short time, William and Catherine stepped out to face the cheering crowd that had gathered.
