RPD investigating after two teens shot on Lake Avenue
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two Rochester teenagers were shot on Lake Avenue late Saturday night.
According to a news release from the Rochester Police Department, officers responded to the 4300 Block of Lake Boulevard for a report of at least one person shot at 11:46 p.m. When officers arrived, a 16-year-old boy from the City of Rochester was found to have at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.
It was learned that the young man, who was taken to hospital by ambulance, was in life-threatening condition. Additionally, the police reported that a 16-year-old girl, who was in the same place, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle and suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. It was stated that the injuries were not life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the clashes are being investigated.
No suspects are currently in custody.
