Russia sends horror WW3 threat to UK – ‘London destroyed in 8 minutes’ | World | News

Russia is preparing to increase its threat to the West by deploying its new “unstoppable” nuclear-capable Oreshnik missile complex, capable of hitting London “in eight minutes”, to Belarus within days.
But Ukraine’s foreign intelligence chief has claimed that Vladimir Putin may have been bluffing by initially planting a “dummy”.
Both Russia and Belarus have said that the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile system will be activated in the next 17 days, posing a new threat to World War Three.
“Russia and Belarus are building military facilities for the launcher, surveillance systems and communications – all components of the Oreshnik system,” Kiev’s spy chief Oleh Ivashchenko said.
However, as of now, these studies have not been completed yet.”
He said Russia could physically deploy a launcher in Belarus to meet its year-end target, but it would only serve as a “dummy” or “model” unless the entire infrastructure was completed.
Ukraine is believed to have destroyed only one of three Oreshnik complexes in its massive attack on the Kapustin Yar testing range in southern Russia in October.
By deploying a fully functional system in Belarus, Russia will be protected from a Ukrainian attack that could occur due to the two states being at war.
“The deployment of the Oreshnik system in Belarus is a means of pressure not on Ukraine, but primarily on the EU and NATO,” Ivashchenko said.
“This move will allow Russia to increase its ability to launch a surprise attack on the capital of any European country and significantly reduce missile flight time compared to missiles launched from the Kapustin Yar range.”
A secret military base is believed to have been built near the village of Pavlovka, south of Minsk, to house the weapon close to NATO borders.
The construction area is approximately the size of 280 football fields.
Putin claims the targets will be incinerated by conventional Oreshnik missiles, which release temperatures of 4,000 degrees, nearly as hot as the surface of the sun, but the weapon is also nuclear capable.
According to Russian sources, an Oreshnik launch from Belarus could hit London within eight minutes; This could happen in much less time than the launch site at Kapustin Yar in southern Russia.
Putin has used the “game-changing” nuclear-capable weapon only once: in a “test” launch against the Ukrainian city of Dnipro in November 2024, without a live warhead, an operation aimed at frightening both Kiev and the West.
Ivashchenko made it clear that if Oreshnik launches were fully deployed in Belarus, Putin, not Minsk tyrant Alexander Lukashenko, would remain in control.
The anticipated deployment comes as Ukraine launched a massive and powerful wave of attacks against Russia overnight.
In Putin-occupied Crimea, a large oil depot went up in flames and a power station in Canköy was also hit.
Another was set on fire in Uryupinsk, Volgograd region.
The third was attacked in Afipsky in the Krasnodar region; There were airport restrictions in place near several airports close to Putin’s £1 billion cliff-top Black Sea palace, including Gelendzhik here.
Another attack hit a thermal power plant in the Smolensk region.
Explosions were also reported at a chemical plant in Veliky Novgorod, just 90 miles from the forest estate seen as Putin’s main home.
Russia attacked civilians again by bombing private houses in Nikopol.
