Sinclair to end boycott of Kimmel show on ABC stations

Sinclair Broadcast Group in the United States, Jimmy Kimmel Live will end the foresight, he said! And in the evening, the evening will return at Sinclair’s stations of about 40 ABC stations.
Disney’s US publisher ABC suspended Kimmel’s show on September 17 through his comments about the assassination of Conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Sinclair, known for his conservative political content, called on Kimmel to apologize to Kirk’s family – and he went one step further, and asked Kirk to “make a meaningful personal donation” to Turning Point Usa, the non -profit organization.
Sinclair is one of the two major broadcasts that does not agree to continue broadcasting the show this week after Disney was suspended for almost a week.
He faced pressure from some politicians about the decision not to publish the program.
Sinclair’s ABC stations represent about 14 percent of US households.
The Nexstar Media Group has chosen to keep Kimmel in the air at the ABC station, which has 32 and operated ABC station, which constitutes approximately nine percent of the US households.
Nexstar needs FCC approval with Tegna for a merger of $ 6.2 billion ($ 9.5 billion).
Hours before ABC was suspended, Brendan Carr, President of the Federal Communication Commission, said that local publishers who publish Kimmel may face fines or loss of license and “time to step”.
Disney and Carr immediately did not comment on Sinclair’s decision.
