Russian earthquake triggers Japan, US, Hawaii, Philippines, Indonesia warnings after 8.8 magnitude tremor in nation’s Kamchatka region
In New Zealand, the National Emergency Management Agency says that every coastline of the country may expect to see strong currents from midnight and unpredictable coastal fluctuations on Wednesday after shaking the fire ring of one of the most powerful earthquakes of all time.
Authorities warn Kiwis to stay away from the shore at the affected times, and the power of the distant tsunami will be felt first in the East Cape on the North Island.

Nema said, “Strong currents and fluctuations can injure and drown people. There is a danger for everyone in or near the water close to the shore and near the shore, Nema said.
