Russian quake among the biggest movers and shakers

One of the most powerful earthquakes recorded so far hit the far east of Russia.

8.8 -magnitude Tsunami warnings on the Pacific Islands towards Hawaii, North and Central America and South Zealand, and the authorities said the potential tsunami danger could last more than a day.

According to the US Geology Research, some of the previously recorded earthquakes are some of them.

1. Biobio, Chile

In 1960, an earthquake of 9.5 magnitude was shot in a central region of Chile. The biggest advocate that has been recorded so far has resulted in more than 1600 deaths in and beyond the country, most of them caused the major tsunami. Thousands of people were injured.

2. Alaska

In 1964, an earthquake of 9.2 lasted for almost five minutes of Alaska’s Prince William Sound. More than 130 people and subsequent tsunami were killed in the largest registered earthquake in the USA. There were large landslides and rising waves that caused severe floods. Thousands of aftershocks followed the event during the weeks after the first earthquake.

3. Sumatra, Indonesia

A 9.1 -magnitude earthquake and the tsunami, in 2004, ruined Southeast and South Asia and East Africa and killed 230,000 people. Only Indonesia recorded more than 167,000 deaths as all communities deleted.

4. Tohoku, Japan

In 2011, an earthquake of 9.1 earthquake from the coast of Northeast Japan triggered a rising tsunami that hit the fukushima nuclear power plant. In the three reactors, it overturned power and cooling systems and triggered melts. More than 18,000 people were killed in the earthquake, and some of them have never been saved.

5. Kamchatka, Russia

In 1952, an earthquake of 9.0 caused significant damage to Hawaii, but caused deaths reported despite a tsunami that hit Hawaii with waves of 9.1 meters (30 meters).

6. Biobio, Chile

A large earthquake of 8.8 magnitude hit Central Chile in 2010, shook the capital for one and a half minutes and established a tsunami. More than 500 people were killed in the disaster.

7. Esmeraldas, Ekvador

In 1906, an earthquake of 8.8 and the emerging tsunami killed about 1500 people. The effects were felt on the coast of Central America and miles to San Francisco and Japan.

8. Alaska

In 1965, an earthquake of an earthquake of 8.7 hit Alaska’s rats and caused a 11 -meter -high tsunami. There were relatively minor damage, including cracks in the buildings and asphalt track.

9. Tibetan

At least 780 people died in 1950 when an earthquake of 8.6 magnitude was shot. Dozens of villages, including at least one of them entering a river, were destroyed. There were also large landslides stuck in the Subajaniri River in India. When the water was finally broken, it resulted in a deadly 7m wave.

10. Sumatra, Indonesia

In 2012, an earthquake of 8.6 magnitude was shot from the west coast of Northern Sumatra in Indonesia. Although the earthquake caused very little damage, it increased the pressure on an error, which is the source of destructive 2004 tsunami.
