Sabrina the Teenage Witch heartthrob unrecognizable as he reunites with costars… after taking job as janitor

When Nate Richert starred in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, he became a worldwide sensation almost overnight.
The actor played the love interest of Melissa Joan Hart’s character, Harvey Kinkle, and his charming personality and handsome looks left millions of young women around the world in awe.
But now, decades after the show, Richert, 47, certainly looks very different.
The former teen heartthrob, who hasn’t acted in 20 years, recently reunited with his Sabrina the Teenage Witch co-stars and looked almost unrecognizable.
Joan Hart shared a photo of herself and Beth Broderick, who plays Sabrina’s aunt Zelda on the show, on Instagram on Tuesday, writing: ‘When the magical family comes together!’

The former TV star is now all grown up and looks very different from her all-American image on the 1990s children’s show.
Richert’s last role was in 2006 and he previously revealed that he took a job as a doorman to ‘pay the bills’.
Richert made his acting debut in 1996 as Harvey Kinkle in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and continued to star in the series until it ended in 2003.
The film, about Sabrina Spellman, a teenager with magical powers who lives with her witch aunts, also starred Caroline Rhea and Nick Bakay.
Despite his success on the hit series, Richert’s acting career never really took off.
He has appeared in several films, including the comedy-drama Lovely & Amazing and Gamebox 1.0, and made brief appearances in the TV series Fantasy Island, Beggars and Choosers, and Touched by an Angel.
His focus seemed to turn to music, as he frequently shared videos of himself playing guitar on Instagram in the 2010s.
And in 2018, the star revealed that she now works several day jobs to pay the bills.

While he wrote at the time that he was working as a janitor, maintenance man, and carpenter at X (formerly Twitter), he emphasized how difficult it was for players to find regular work.
‘I am extremely lucky to have had any success at all, let alone any solid work in film and television over the course of six years (20 years ago),’ he wrote.
‘Currently I’m a maintenance man, a cleaner, a carpenter and do any random job I can find to pay the bills.’
The actor has made it clear that he is not ashamed of having to hold regular day jobs alongside his work as an artist to pursue his passion.
‘I improvise and write songs to keep my mental health,’ he added. ‘Players rarely have job security or a stable job, quality healthcare and a decent retirement.
‘We are actors because that’s who we are at heart, for the love and need to bring the words on the page to life and make you feel them (God, I love making you laugh).’

Richert is seen on the left during her Sabrina Teenage Witch days and on the right more recently.
Richert also described fame as a ‘necessary evil’ because it ‘comes with the loss of anonymity; This can be uplifting when it brings someone joy, but it’s difficult when bad people decide to be bad.’
He has kept a fairly low profile in recent years.
She occasionally attends various Comic Cons and fan events, and recently started her own podcast with Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Curtis Andersen.
