Samsung starts manufacturing laptops in Greater Noida factory, plans to start making more devices in India

Korean electronic giant Samsung, the company’s laptop production in the major Noida factory in India began production, news agency PTI, people are aware of development on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

The electronic giant has previously made featured phones, smartphones, wearable devices and tablets in the large Noida factory.

Samsung’s expansion plans

Samsung’s Southwest Asian Corporate Vice President SP Chun said that at a meeting with Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the company continues to expand the production operations of IT technology directed by talent and innovation in India.

“Samsung continues to expand the production of advanced technology devices in Bharat, which is directed by talent and innovation.” He said.

The Korean Electronic Giant was one of the first carriers to establish an electronic production facility in India in 1996.

Earlier this year, Samsung Electronics President and Head of Mobile Experience (MX) Business, TM ROH, said the company’s second largest exporter from India after the global technology giant Apple.

The news agency also said that Samsung is the second largest smartphone company in India in terms of volume and value.

According to Sibermedia research data specified in the news report, the company has not yet left a mark on the laptop computer segment, but the company holds a 15% market share.
