Sarah Ferguson speaks out on brutal snub from William and Kate as she felt ‘worthless’ | Royal | News

Prince William may not be Sarah Ferguson’s biggest fan these days due to the scandals that followed her past friendship with late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, but it looks like Sarah Ferguson hasn’t been too keen on her long-time ex-aunt. Sarah Ferguson was not on the invitation list when he married his wife, Princess Catherine, in April 2011.

While her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and their two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, attended the special day, Sarah did not. This was because although he had watched William grow up, he was not on the invitation list.

The former duchess spoke about this in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2011, saying: “I wasn’t invited and I chose to go to a place called Camelia and be in Thailand and the jungle embraced me.”

She continued: “It was very difficult. I wanted to be there with my daughters, dress them and go as a family.

“It was also very difficult because I was the last bride down that aisle.”

Sarah, who also got along well with William’s late mother Princess Diana, said she felt “worthless” but was comforted by her ex-husband Andrew at the time.

The former duchess also agreed with William and Catherine’s decision not to invite her to their big day, as she had previously been caught offering an undercover reporter access to her ex-husband in exchange for £500,000 – a scandal that has thrust her into the negative spotlight once again.

Although William and Catherine have not made any public comments about Sarah, it is believed that they have tried to stay away from her and Andrew, especially as Sarah and Andrew have found themselves embroiled in more scandals over the last few months.

William and Catherine’s desire to distance themselves from Sarah and Andrew was revealed just months ago when they tried to avoid speaking to them outside the Duchess of Kent’s funeral.

It is also believed that William was actively involved in negotiations to lure the divorced couple away from the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
