Savannah Guthrie asks for prayer as her mother remains missing: ‘We need you’

On Monday, NBC “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie thanked her followers for offering prayers for her mother, Nancy, who authorities say was likely kidnapped from her home in Arizona.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Nancy Guthrie was last seen Saturday evening at her home near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Boulevard in north Tucson around 9:30 p.m., after family members dropped her off.
In an Instagram post Monday night, Savannah Guthrie said she believes in prayer and God.
“We believe in prayer. We believe in voices rising together, in love and hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him.” “Please pray,” he wrote along with the photo.

The post continued: “Thank you for lifting your prayers with us for our dear mother, dear Nancy, a woman of deep faith, a good and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted up by them right now.”
Added Savannah Guthrie, “We need you.”
The journalist also quoted the Bible as he tried to remain optimistic about his mother’s disappearance.

“‘He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are firm and who trust in the Lord.’ “A verse from Isaiah for all of us, for all times,” he wrote.
“Bring her home,” concluded Savannah Guthrie.
