SC Extends Police Custody of Prabhakar Rao Till Dec 25
Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Wednesday extended the police custody of Prabhakar Rao in the alleged phone tapping case till December 25 and directed his release on December 26. The earlier police custody ended on December 18, following which the Special Investigation Team (SIT) approached the top court seeking additional time for further interrogation in connection with the case.
To expedite the investigation, the Telangana government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SIT will function under the supervision of Hyderabad Police Commissioner and senior IPS officer VC Sajjanar.
