Meghan McCain, 41, joyously announces birth of third child and reveals baby’s unconventional name
Meghan McCain enthusiastically announced over the weekend that she is giving birth to her third child, a bouncing baby boy, this Friday.
The 41-year-old daughter of John McCain and his wife, political commentator Ben Domenech, previously had two daughters named Liberty (5) and Clover (2).
Now the couple has welcomed their first son into the world and given him an unusual name, similar to that of their two little girls.
Sharing the news in an Instagram post, the mother of three wrote, “We are happy to share that our son Ransom McCain Domenech finally reached 9 lbs 2 oz at dawn on January 2nd.”
‘We are all very happy because of the moon. Everyone is happy, healthy and exhausted. “We are so grateful to the incredible doctors and medical staff who took wonderful care of us all,” he continued.
‘Liberty and Clover couldn’t be more excited to have a brother. Our family is filled with blessings, thank you all for your kind words, well wishes and prayers! Our family is officially a party of 5.’

Her joyful message was accompanied by an Instagram album featuring a photo of McCain and Domenech reveling in the hospital over their newborn baby.
Dominich held the swaddled baby next to McCain, who was lying in his hospital bed, and lovingly caressed the new member of his family.
She also posted a snapshot of little Ransom sleeping peacefully, apparently still in the hospital, wrapped in a blanket and wearing a small hat.
McCain announced her latest pregnancy on her podcast in June while interviewing Usha Vance, who has three children with J.D. Vance.
“I hope you don’t mind – I just wanted to tell you about a private matter that I haven’t talked about publicly yet,” McCain told his guest, whom he was meeting for the first time just 20 minutes before he started recording.
She revealed that she was expecting her third baby and had reached her second trimester; She also revealed that she and Domenech are expecting a boy.
‘I’m very nervous about having a boy and I’m also very nervous about having three children. A lot,’ McCain admitted to Usha.
The Second Lady responded by reassuring her about the development, saying: ‘I love having three children. I’m a big proponent of that.’

During the interview, McCain asked about raising boys because she had heard they could be noisier, and Usha confirmed that her sons have “a lot of energy.”
