SC To Hear HDFC CEO’s Plea Challenging FIR

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank CEO and General Manager Sashidhar Jagdishan moved to the Supreme Court on Thursday and challenged a cheat and fraud registered by the Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust, who operated the Lilavati Hospital of Mumbai.
Justice MM Sundresh and K. Vinod Chandran’s two dominant benches agreed to list the defense urgently and adjust the hearing on Friday.
The senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Jagdishan, described the FIR as “meaningless ve and stated that it was opened by a group of trustees against another group of trustees. “The bank is trying to save the dues,” he said to the court. “They placed this oven to bend our arm and every day the bank suffers.”
Rohatgi added that the issue was first opened in the Supreme Court of Bombay in June, but that the three banks rejected them. The next temporary Supreme Court hearing is planned to be held on July 14th.
According to the complaint of trust, Jagdishan claims to accept 2.05 Crore bribery to help the Chetan Mehta group to protect inappropriate control over the management of trust. In accordance with the 175 (3) episode of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, the Fir, registered to the Bandon Police Station, lists the charges of cheating, guilty confidence and violation of confidence by a public official.
Separately, Güven submitted the Supreme Court for a CBI investigation on the subject.
