SC to Hear Maha Plea Against Acquittal of Train Blast Accused

New Delhi: The Supreme Court will appeal to the Maharashtra government against the decision of the Bombay Supreme Court, which bought all the defendants in the 2006 Mumbai train bomb Blasts case on July 24th.
On Tuesday, the Chief Justice Br Gavai and Justice K. Vinod Chandran and Justice Nv Anjaria noted that the state’s appeal of the State General Tushar Mehta’s decision against the decision of the Supreme Court of the State.
“This is a serious issue. SLP (special leave petition) is ready. Please list tomorrow. There is urgency … There are still some important problems to look at.” He said. Following the Supreme Court decision, CJI referred to the newspaper reports where eight people were released from prison.
On Monday, a special bench was acquitted, saying that the prosecution could not completely prove the case and that it was “difficult to believe that the defendants committed the crime”.
Five of 12 years of age were sentenced to death by a private court and seven people were sentenced to prison. One of the convicts of death died in 2021.
On 11 July 2006, more than 180 people were killed in various places on the Western Line when seven explosions were torn from Mumbai local trains.
The Supreme Court allowed the appeal of the defendant to appeal to their conviction and sentences given to them by a private court in 2015.
The case, which was investigated by Mahashtra ATS, was unacceptable and “copying” of the defendant’s confession of the defendant. The Supreme Court also hit the prosecution stating that the defendant had found that they were given torture to force these confessions.
ATS claimed that the defendants’ banned clothing students were members of the Indian Islamic Movement (SİİM), and the conspiracy Pakistani terror group Lashkar-E-Tayyaba’s Pakistani members.
