Sean Dyche: Nottingham Forest in advanced talks to appoint former Everton and Burnley manager

Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks to appoint Sean Dyche as manager.
Dyche is the main candidate to become Forest’s next head coach following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou, with the Premier League club hoping to reach an agreement on Monday.
Postecoglou was sacked 17 minutes after Forest lost 3-0 to Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
Forest sit 18th in the table after just one win in eight league games during a turbulent season.
Dyche has been in positive talks in the last 24 hours and sources close to the appointment told BBC Sport his chances of getting the job increased significantly over the weekend.
While Roberto Mancini is also in talks with Forest officials, Fulham’s coach Marco Silva is liked but his contract continues.
Silva also has a large release clause in his contract and this has emerged as a factor, given the money Forest have spent this season to sack Postecoglou and Nuno Espirito Santo.
Whether Silva will be ready to leave Fulham in the middle of the season is also seen as an issue.
While sources indicate that Dyche is now running as an independent, given the difficulties of appointing Silva, initial interest in Mancini appears to have waned.
More to follow.
