Search for terrorists in J&K’s Kishtwar enters day 3, cordon strengthened

Authorities, security forces Jammu and Kashmir in a forest region hiding in a search operation to watch, entered the third day on Friday, July 4, 2025 and the cord was distributed in the region to strengthen the cord.
The operation follows a encounter between terrorists and security forces in the heavy forested Kanzal Mandu region of the Kucal-Chatroo Generation on Wednesday.
Supported by the Army and CRPF, the police started the encounter when a cord and search operation in Kuchal started on the basis of intelligence inputs about the existence of terrorists in the region.

The search was expanded in the Chatroo forest area to watch the hiding terrorists. Authorities are believed to have two to three people.
Helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs are used in the operation and said that the cord was further strengthened by deploying additional troops.
The match on Wednesday came second in the Jammu region in the last week. On June 26, a terrorist of Pakistani-based Jaish-e-Mohammed was killed in a match with the security forces, while three of his partners were able to escape to the forested region of the Basantgarh zone in the Udhampur region.
