Search resumes for missing snorkeller off Perth’s north coast

A massive search is underway off Perth’s north coast for a snorkeller who failed to return from the water on Thursday afternoon.

At around 3pm on Thursday, police were notified that two snorkelers went swimming at Ledge Point but only one made it back.

The missing 32-year-old man has not yet been found through searches on the beach and nearby coastline.

In addition to police divers and sea rescue boats, jet skis, helicopters and local boats are also assisting in the search.

Located about an hour north of Perth, Ledge Point is a popular holiday resort with a small permanent population of around 230 people.

Police asked anyone with information about the matter to contact authorities.
