Second body found in search for missing Devon swimmers
BBCPolice say the body of a man has been recovered after two swimmers went missing on Christmas Day.
Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to Exmouth Beach just before 15:00 GMT on Sunday following reports of a possible body sighting near the shore.
No formal identification has yet been made but officers said the family of a 64-year-old man from Budleigh Salterton have been notified.
The body of a 47-year-old man, thought to be the other of the two swimmers who disappeared on December 25, He was rescued on Tuesday.
The family of Matthew Upham, who owned an antique shop in Budleigh Salterton, Devon, he had previously named her as one of the swimmers.
According to a friend of mineUpham had gone to sea to help a woman in distress.
His family thanked emergency services who responded and said: “Matthew is much loved and will be missed forever.”

Shortly after 10:25 GMT on December 25, emergency services were called to Budleigh Salterton after two men in their 40s and 60s could not be located.
The coast guard’s search operation was stopped around 17:00.
RNLI teams and coastguard helicopters carried out extensive searches of the coastline and offshore and many people were brought back safely to shore.
The injured were checked by the medical teams who arrived at the scene and were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
