Bella Hadid under fire over ‘offensive’ social media posts she made as a teenager: ‘Should’ve known better’

Bella Hadid became the target of internet trolls due to her ‘problematic’ social media posts in her youth.
The 29-year-old actor’s old tweets were dug up and published on the celebrity gossip subreddit Fake Moi It drew the ire of users this week.
‘I’m not surprised that a white celebrity has a racist past but people are hailing her as their problem-free princess. “I wonder how this managed to go unnoticed,” wrote the criminal who shared these.
The posts, dating back to 2012 when Bella was just 16, included a number of offensive comments, including the use of the N-word on one occasion.
He also quoted lyrics from controversial rapper Tyler the Creator’s 2011 French song, which included the line ‘Got all black b*tches pissed off ’cause my main b*tch is vanilla.’
His past comments sparked a fierce debate online; While some said the model ‘should know better’ despite her age, others defended her.
‘It’s never really ‘racism is funny!’ I didn’t say. ‘I’m surprised at this stage people act like everyone else is,’ one wrote.
‘I was about the same age as him and grew up in the rural midwest with almost all white kids. I never said it was an insult hahaha. ‘It’s weird how people try to normalize racism,’ another wrote.

‘Everyone will excuse this by saying ‘oh he was just a kid’, but what about black children who bear the brunt of this rhetoric? Don’t you sympathize with them?’ wrote the third one.
Defending Bella, one fan said the posts were ‘really stupid’ and ‘it’s not like she posted these yesterday’.
‘You can tell from their format that these screenshots are old. “There aren’t even comment or bookmark icons, which could mean these are fake,” added another.
This comes as the supermodel made a grand return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last Wednesday.
The catwalk show, which was broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video, signaled a return to the show’s classic ‘flashy and sensual’ style as it sought to boost sales following a turn towards a so-called ‘woke’ stance.
Bella returned after withdrawing from public life due to treatments for health complications that she attributed to her controversial chronic Lyme disease diagnosis, but she has also struggled with mental health issues in recent months.
She made a grand entrance in a fiery red bra and lace thong while showing off a deep tan.
The runway star wore a red lace garter belt over her ripped abs, holding up sheer red stockings, and pulled a red cape draped over her forearms behind her.
The posts, dating back to 2012 when Bella was just 16, included a number of disturbing comments, including the use of the N-word on one occasion.
The model was photographed as a teenager in 2013, just a year after she posted the tweets.
Fans speculated that the Orabella creator, who endured a public battle with Lyme disease, appeared faint as she walked down the runway and had trouble staying still as she strutted around with massive 150-pound wings.
‘You can tell from his face. “Looking a little rough here,” one fan said. ‘And look how he’s trying to play with his shoulders to keep those damn wings open. Still killing him.’
The fan also noted that Hadid looked ‘almost unconscious’ towards the end of her walk, although she did her best to look unimpressed.
The incident occurred while the Vogue cover girl was wearing an ethereal all-white and silver look that included a fitted corset top and pleated skirt.
Social media users flooded the comments with concerned messages, referencing Hadid’s recent hospitalization.
This comes as the supermodel made a grand return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last Wednesday.
But in a now-deleted post to The Hollywood Reporter, Hadid wrote: ‘OK, we’re not going to pretend these wings don’t weigh 100lbs, but HOW BEAUTIFUL.’
One fan wrote: ‘Oh my god I thought it was just me; He looked like he was in pain.’
‘He was actually taken to hospital. ‘I don’t know why they pushed him so much,’ added another.
‘These wings are very heavy and he is a very light person. He’s also really sick. ‘I ate it anyway,’ said a third.
Hadid’s runway appearance comes just weeks after returning from Germany, where she spent time receiving treatment for chronic neurological Lyme disease at St George Hospital near Munich.
