Security personnel and Naxalites exchange fire in Chhattisgarh forest

Bijapur, A clash broke out between security personnel and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Tuesday, a police official said.

The clash started this morning in the forest of Indravati National Park when a team of security personnel went on an anti-Naxal operation on information about the presence of senior Maoist cadres, the official added.

Intermittent gunfire continues and further details are awaited, the official added.
