Sen Cory Booker has ‘not dismissed’ a 2028 presidential run

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., says he has not ruled out a potential 2028 presidential bid.
Jaime Harrison asked Booker, who is seeking re-election this year on your podcast On Tuesday, he debated whether he would launch another presidential campaign, considering 2028 is “just around the corner.”
“I know people in Jersey would love to have a president from New Jersey,” Harrison said.

“They’d love to see Bruce Springsteen play at the opening,” Booker joked.
He added: “I’m telling you right now, I don’t want to… I’m not even shy about these things. I’m running for re-election. I haven’t ruled out running for president again in ’28.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to Booker’s office for comment.

Booker previously ran for president in the 2020 election but suspended his campaign before the Iowa caucuses in January 2020.

“In just 71 days, the President of the United States has done so much damage to the security of Americans, to their financial stability, to the fundamental foundations of our democracy, and even to our desires as a people to have a shared sense of morality from our highest offices,” Booker continued.

Booker’s comments on Harrison’s podcast come after Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., told the BBC on Monday night that he, too, is “seriously” considering a presidential run in 2028.

“People talk to me about this all the time, but there’s an election in 2026 that I’m really worried about. We need to get this done first. I’ll make a decision,” Kelly said.
