There was drama in a village on Christmas Day when a man was seen wrestling with police in his driveway. Neighbors in Hill View in Greatham, near Hartlepool, were shocked to see the man struggling with officers.

The incident took place around 19.50 on Christmas Day, when several police vehicles with flashing blue lights pulled up to the street. It was seen that two ambulances arrived at the scene.

One resident said several neighbors were outside in their Christmas pajamas wondering what was going on.

he said Teesside Live: “It was quite a shock to see all the blue lights and hear the sirens on Christmas Day. There must have been about five or six police cars, vans and two ambulance vehicles. It looked like someone was trying to elude the police in the driveway of a house.”

“There were three police officers around them initially, but then more and more police arrived on the scene, so I couldn’t see what happened next. It wasn’t nice to see that on Christmas Day.”
