Severn Bridge closed RECAP: M48 traffic delays near England-Wales border | UK | News

Motorists on the M48 are facing heavy Easter traffic on Monday as the Severn Bridge is closed in both directions. National Highways said the main bridge in Gloucestershire is currently closed in both directions between J1 (Aust) and J2 (Chepstow).
The closure is being implemented to allow South West Ambulance Service and Avon & Somerset Police to work at the scene in the event of an “ongoing incident”. Traffic is being diverted via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
