Shah Rukh Khan pays heartfelt tribute to legendary actor Dharmendra
Dharmendra, considered one of the most iconic actors of Indian cinema, passed away on Monday at the age of 89. Known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, the actor, who has appeared in more than 300 films over six decades, has inspired generations with his versatility, charisma and dedication to the craft.

Dharmendra, considered one of the most iconic actors of Indian cinema, passed away on Monday at the age of 89. Known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, he starred in over 300 films over a span of six decades and inspired generations with his versatility, charisma and dedication to the craft. Dharmendra’s journey remains a testament to enduring talent and dedication. What is remarkable is that he was never restricted to a single genre and achieved a balanced mass appeal by playing different roles in romance, action, comedy and social drama, which helped him become one of the most commercially successful actors in the history of Indian cinema.
Dharmendra’s last rites were held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai, where superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, SRK, Salman Khan and others attended. After the final ceremony, many stars visited the late actor’s house and expressed their condolences to the family. Sanjay Khan, Zayed Khan and Rekha were spotted outside Dharmendra’s house. The ‘He Man’ of Hindi cinema has been ailing for a while now. On November 10, Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai following a deterioration in his health. He was discharged from the hospital two days later after the family preferred treatment at home. On November 24, the actor breathed his last at the age of 89.
