Shikhar Dhawan Marries Sophie Shine in Private Ceremony
Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan married his long-time girlfriend Sophie Shine in an intimate wedding ceremony held in the Delhi-NCR region on Saturday. Close family members and a small circle of friends attended the celebration.
The couple was together for over a year before announcing their engagement on January 12, 2026. He confirmed the news publicly via social media, putting an end to speculations about Dhawan’s personal life.
For the ceremony, Dhawan wore a cream sherwani embellished with floral patterns, while Sophie complemented it with a matching floral-themed lehenga.
This marks Dhawan’s second marriage. The former India opener officially separated from his ex-wife Aesha Mukerji in October 2023, completing their 11-year marriage. The couple got married in 2011. Aesha has two daughters from her previous marriage.
The first images from the wedding surfaced online after Dhawan’s former teammate Yuzvendra Chahal shared photos from the ceremony on social media with the caption “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai”, giving fans a glimpse of the special celebration.
