Meghan Markle received huge backlash from viewers for interrupting her friend during her recent trip to the US. The Duchess of Sussex made the surprise appearance on Thursday when she was spotted at a bookstore event near her home in Montecito. She attended a livestreamed event at Godmothers bookstore in Summerland and participated in a panel discussion with her friend, author Courtney Adamo.

But there was a moment when the Duchess corrected her friend for holding her microphone too far away and Meghan moved the microphone closer to her face; some fans described it as “rude” and “weird”. One user said of Another said: “Incredibly rude but so typical.”
