BBC on Luzon Island as super typhoon hits Philippines

Typhoon Fung-wong reached the Philippines, where more than 900,000 people were evacuated.
The storm was downgraded to a super typhoon with sustained winds of approximately 185 km/h (115mph) and gusts of 230km/h (143mph).
BBC correspondent Jonathan Head says that on Luzon Island, “rubble is flying everywhere” and “people are taking shelter in every solid building they can find.”
