Shocking moment innocent passenger screams ‘it’s not me’ as police Taser him on the Huntingdon train platform after knife rampage left 11 hurt

Dramatic footage shows the moment a train passenger shouted “it’s not me” after being tasered by police officers who mistook him for the Huntingdon knife attacker.

The two suspects, both British nationals, were initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after 11 victims were injured by a knife-wielding man on the LNER service from Doncaster to King’s Cross on Saturday night.

A 35-year-old man was released without further action and a 32-year-old man is considered the sole suspect.

Shocking footage shows the innocent man walking on a train platform in Huntingdon – where the train driver had to distract him – only to be shot with a stun gun by police.

Officers shout ‘get down, get down’ before the passenger suddenly falls to the ground, apparently screaming in pain.

He then lies face down on the ground and screams ‘it’s not me, it’s not me’ several times while being handcuffed.

Police announced that 11 people were being treated in hospital on Sunday night and one of them was still in life-threatening condition.

Investigators at one point introduced the Plato Code, a word used by emergency services when responding to a ‘marauding terrorist attack’, but on Sunday police said there was ‘nothing to suggest this was a terrorist incident’.

Other footage shows a man with a knife immediately following the stabbing attack after the train stopped in Huntingdon.

He was filmed walking on a platform at the station where the train was not scheduled to stop but was brought to an emergency stop as a result of the incident.

Terrified passengers are seen running down the platform to escape before bloodcurdling screams are heard as the man dressed in all black and wearing a black hat jumps over the fence.

The video follows police providing updates on the ongoing investigation and promises to increase patrols on the rail network.

Stunning footage obtained by the Mail also filmed dazed passengers stumbling off the train with bloody rags; Confused victims were looking around and asking ‘where are we’ as they unloaded suitcases from the platform.

Sirens can be heard blaring loudly as the passenger holds a white cloth on his head, from which red blood has oozed.

Another elderly passenger helped him and one person asked: ‘Is he okay?’ He can be heard shouting.

While an officer shouts, “Everyone out,” the person shooting the video says, “This is crazy,” as he records the injured gentleman walking away.

Witnesses described traumatic scenes; Olly Foster, a passenger on the H bus, was listening to an audio book when he heard a man yelling, ‘Run! To run! ‘There’s a man stabbing literally everyone and everything’.

Mr Foster said he and some other travelers initially thought it was a ‘joke’ or ‘Halloween prank’ but from the looks on their faces they ‘immediately knew they were serious’.

He described how his hand was ‘covered in blood’ after he placed his hand on a chair while running inside the car.

‘There was blood on numerous chairs from two of the men who had been seriously stabbed in front of me,’ he said.

‘A young girl was distraught when her attacker tried to stab her, but an old man’s hero got in the way, creating a gash on his forehead and I think he had another on his neck.’

Mr Foster and other terrified passengers ran to the end of the short train, where he and several others lined up trying to find a weapon to defend themselves.
