Shopkeeper jailed for 10 years for sexually assaulting and grooming a girl in his shop

A shopkeeper in Stockport, a shopkeeper who groomed and was sexually assaulted, has been imprisoned for 10 years.
Daniel Hashmi was found guilty of six crimes, including the rape attempt against the same girl after a hearing at Manchester Minshul Street Crown Court. The Great Manchester police said he was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Hashmi was arrested in December 2024 after a friend’s sister informed the police.
During the court hearing, the sacrifice said in a statement: “I thought I could trust him. They need to be an adult and protective, but after that I will never trust anyone again.
“This has impressed me more than not everyone knows – I feel betrayed and completely disappointed.
“He took the most important things I would never go back – I feel myself and this is the worst thing.”
Police found that Hashmi’s work in Hashmi’s work in Wellington Road South in Stockport between November and December last year.
The shop owner had purchased Vodka and Vapes for his victim, once he blocked the door in a back room with a sofa to prevent his separation before sexual harassment.
He rejected the crimes, but he was found guilty of a woman with three sexual assaults, two points rape and penetration.
In addition to his 10 -year sentence, hashimi sex criminal will have to sign the lifetime record and a limiting order and a lifetime of sexual damage protection will be ordered.
“The girl and her family have shown tremendous courage and we will continue to support them … GMP’s Stockport Complex Protection Team is a multi -institution team that focuses on protection and damage.
“This team, which includes police officers, social workers and other professionals, is especially trying to protect, evaluate and respond to those related to child exploitation.
“We are absolutely determined to remove criminals like Hashimi from the streets, because the danger is important for society and especially children.”
He said he hoped that the sentence would give the victims to inform the victims of crimes of such crimes and the confidence that the perpetrators will be delivered to justice.
