The incredible new £600 million skyscraper with an Airbus A380 parked on its roof | World | News

Dubai already has some of the most innovative modern architecture in the world that never ceases to impress and inspire. Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab are just a few of the eye-catching skyscrapers that dominate the city’s skyline.
Both are testament to the boundless ambition of Dubai’s rulers, who are as determined as ever to push the boundaries of what is possible. Now a new mega project is being prepared that will once again transform the city’s skyline and overshadow the iconic buildings mentioned above. Architects are putting the finishing touches on a plan to build a 580-metre-tall hotel complex.
Emirates Air Hotel is expected to cost AED3bn (£611m) and is scheduled to open in 2029.
Its most distinctive feature will be a full-size Airbus A380 parked on its roof. The aircraft was not designed for show purposes, but to provide guests with unique experiences.
It will include a cockpit bar, dining areas and offer dramatic glass views of the city.
The hotel aims to create a unique blend of urban design by blending aviation heritage with luxury hospitality.
The new hotel is the latest urban development underway in this vibrant and futuristic city.
Construction is already in full swing at Dubai Creek Port, which many have called the Middle East’s answer to Manhattan.
An eye-watering AED100bn (£20) has been allocated to bring the grandiose project to life.
The project is designed to rival the world’s largest financial and cultural districts. At its center will be the Dubai Creek Tower, designed by world-famous architect Santiago Calatrava.
This architectural masterpiece will not only take the title of the world’s tallest structure, but will also serve as a global landmark to rival the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty in international recognition.
