Heaping praises on Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Siddharth Anand wrote, “DHURANDHAR is nasha. It stays with you for a long time. It doesn’t leave you. It leaves you dying for more. This is a prime example of EVERY damn department reaching its peak.”

Siddharth Anand about Dhurandhar

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has become the latest phenomenon to hit the Hindi film industry. The spy drama, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, has been receiving extremely positive reviews from the audience. The film has already minted over Rs 100 crore nett in India and has grossed Rs 160 crore worldwide.

Now filmmaker Siddharth Anand has also joined the Dhurandhar bandwagon and heaped praises on the film on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He wrote: “DHURANDHAR nasha. It stays with you for a long time. It doesn’t leave you. It leaves you wanting more. This is a prime example of EVERY damn episode reaching its peak! How! How? Because director @AdityaDharFilms has moved it all with his conviction and passion. It shows in every frame.”

“There are some scenes that were executed like a seasoned master. Each performance, they all just delivered and allowed their best to be brought out. I will go again. And I don’t remember wanting to watch a movie in theaters again in years.. very happy!! Congratulations team DHURANDHAR”, added the Pathaan director. Aditya Dhar reshared Anand’s post and wrote, “Thank you so much Siddharth Sir! It was truly an incredible team effort.”

Dhurandhar is Aditya Dhar’s second directorial after his debut film Uri: The Surgical Strike was a surprising blockbuster in 2019. The Vicky Kaushal starrer also won four National Film Awards, including Best Actor for Kaushal and Best Director for Dhar. Fan theories now suggest that Dhurandhar may actually be a prequel to Uri. The Ranveer Singh film will be divided into two parts and the sequel will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid-al-Adha.

Meanwhile, after Pathaan, Siddharth Anand is collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan again for his next action thriller King. The first look of the movie, which was released last month on King Khan’s 60th birthday, created excitement on social media. King also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor.
