Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have returned to domestic cricket with flair. Now focusing solely on ODI cricket, Team India’s two strong players have shown that they are well prepared for the 2027 ODI World Cup. This match took place behind closed doors at the CoE (Center of Excellence) of BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India); Here Virat displayed his batting dominance by maintaining his phenomenal form. Tasked with chasing a total of 299 tough balls, Virat scored a magnificent 131 off 101 balls, including 14 fours and three sixes.

Virat created a new record by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar as the fastest player to reach 16,000 runs in List-A cricket. Needing just one run to achieve this milestone, the right-handed batsman managed to do so in 330 innings, surpassing Tendulkar who reached the mark in 391 innings.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are currently the top two ODI batsmen, are expected to participate in the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, who was sidelined due to injury in the ODI series against South Africa, is expected to take charge of the team.
