Small plane crashes in Albuquerque killing 1, critically injuring another

One person was killed and another was in critical condition after a small plane crashed Friday morning while trying to make an emergency landing at Los Altos Golf Course in Albuquerque, New Mexico, state police said.
New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the crash just before 11:40 a.m. local time and found two people trapped inside the plane.
According to the fire department, there was no fire on the plane but there was “significant damage”.

According to the police, both passengers were taken to the hospital, and one person was pronounced dead.
The condition of the second person is critical.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that the plane was a Columbia 400.
New Mexico State Police said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
