Banks in the UK are closing quickly this year, closing hundreds of 2025 to the end. Natwest is one of the major names in the mass closing of the 26 branch that is planned to be closed next month.
As consumer habits change, more banking customers rely on digital services instead of banking in real life. Natwest is not the only bank affected by the change in consumer patterns. Halifax, Santander and Bank of Scotland closed a number of branches.
Next month closing will start from September 1.
In a statement, Natwest said: “We have recently announced that we have closed some branches. There are many other ways to continue banking with us.
“Since our customers benefit from a faster and easier way for the bank, banking has changed significantly in recent years with the increase in demand for mobile and online services. Closing a branch is a very serious decision.
We know that it can affect those who are less confident in the alternatives we offer. During the changes, we will always work hard to guide and support you, and after that we will find the best way to serve you. “
