Burnley: Scott Parker leaves as head coach after relegation from Premier League

Burnley Head coach Scott Parker left the club by mutual consent eight days after they were relegated from the Premier League.

Parker’s side lost 1–0 to Manchester City on 22 April and were relegated to the Championship for the second time in three years.

They could only win four of the 34 league matches they played this season and only get one point from the last eight matches.

Parker’s assistant Mike Jackson will take charge of the team’s final four games of the season, starting with Friday’s trip to Leeds United.
