Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus announces death of her baby girl at 11 months: ‘I lost the love of my life’
Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, shockingly announced that her 11-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, died Monday, 20 days after being released from the NICU.
Codi was born three months prematurely in late February 2025; It’s the first child Cori welcomed with her fiancé, photographer Wayne Duece.
The baby remained in the NICU for months but was discharged at the beginning of the new year. Cori enthusiastically announced on Instagram on January 6: ‘He’s home,’ thanking fans for their prayers and saying, ‘God heard them all.’
But this Saturday, she shared a black and white photo of herself holding her daughter with the caption: ‘Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.’
She then reposted the Instagram update from earlier in the month about Codi returning home from hospital and commented: ’20 days later?! ‘Wow I’m sick.’
Cori, 26, is the youngest of Snoop Dogg’s (real name Calvin Broadus) three daughters he shares with his wife of 28 years, Shante Broadus.

Duece also shared a heartbreaking image on her Insta Stories on Saturday of herself lovingly embracing her baby girl while looking after her.
‘I’m the saddest person since Codi Dreaux left me. But I know you in peace. ‘Daddy will always love you,’ he wrote, adding the hashtag: ‘#LongLiveCodiDreaux.’
Cori reshared a post from her baby’s nurse, who uploaded a video of a mobile rolling over Codi’s crib, along with her own thoughts on the tragedy.
‘I was sad for 6 days. “Being a nurse has its ups and downs, and this is the biggest ordeal I’ve ever experienced,” she wrote.
‘It was a great pleasure to be my daughters’ nurse. ‘I gave him one last bath, told him I loved him, and didn’t even know I was preparing him for Heaven.’
She added that Codi’s parents are ‘4 forever in my heart and family’ and concluded her post with a praying hands emoji.
Cori announced her baby was born prematurely at 25 weeks last February, and admitted she was both “crying and crying” and “comparing and contrasting, blaming myself for not being able to give her everything she needed.”
He added that Codi herself was ‘perfect as always.’ Thank God for getting me to this point despite the obstacles I constantly face.’

The premature birth was the result of a variant of preeclampsia called HELLP syndrome; The acronym stood for Hemolysis, High Liver enzymes and Low Platelets.
Cori, who has had lupus since the age of six and suffered a stroke at the beginning of 2024, had previously stated that she was expecting because she was in the middle of a ‘high-risk pregnancy’.
Last September, while her baby was in the NICU at six months old, Cori talked about her “feisty” daughter, who she called “so resilient and strong.” Us Weekly.
